The first Book of Vile Darkness was originally a scroll penned millennia ago by a Vasharan spellcaster. It features: What happens when Attuned, Magic. Some aspects may seem over powered, but then again, this isnt an ordinary Magical Tome. Its a combination of flavor from my own campaigns and details from previous editions. Using the official 5E Dungeons & Dragons rules on the Book of Vile Darkness, Ive made my own take on this tricky artifact.Described as a 'detailed look at the nature of evil,' it was the first Dungeons & Dragons book labelled for mature audiences.Years later, a priestess of Nerull discovered the scroll. The book was written by Monte Cook and published by Wizards of the Coast in October 2002.
